Recipe to Soothe a Tickly Throat

I really believe that supporting the body when it is ill, is the best way to help it heal and recover. There are so many coughs around at this time of year and they can be a real pain, especially if it stops you getting a good night sleep.

Back in 2007, the Archives of Paediatric and Adolescent Medicine published a study that found that raw buckwheat honey was more effective than dextromethorphan (commonly found in over the counter cough medicines) at reducing the frequency and severity of night time coughing in children (1).

This is great news if you want to try something entirely natural to support your system. Add to it, the immune boosting properties of consuming raw honey and this is a winner!

  • Blend ingredients together
  • Store in a jar
  • 1 tsp half an hour before bedtime
